A client who I absolutely LOVED working with this year is Ineke from Winterfinch Design.
Ineke lives in the Snowy Mountains with her husband and 3 kids, and she and her husband run a beef cattle operation as well as offer holiday accommodation in their farm cottages.
After years of designing and creating bespoke homewares and accessories as a hobby, Ineke finally took the plunge earlier this year and turned it into a legitimate side hustle.
Through Winterfinch Design, Ineke designs and creates bespoke homewares and fashion accessories. She specialises in natural fibres, leather, linen, hemp, cotton, wool and rabbit fur, and sources her materials from ethical and sustainable sources.
Ineke doesn't really follow patterns or trends, she believes that things you love should never go out of fashion. She also believes in well made products that should last for a very long time and are kind on the earth.
Everything available from Winterfinch Design (except the sheepskin rugs and reindeer hides), are handcrafted by Ineke in her home studio in the Snowy Mountains.
I asked Ineke a couple of questions about this year:
What are you focusing on for the rest of 2020? I am focusing on slowly building a community around my products and continuing to work on new designs.
And, what's one thing you have learnt from this year? I feel like I have learnt a lot of lessons this year, but the biggest is probably to stop putting things off and to prioritise myself and my family above all else.
