Just start. Then, keep going

Hello again, it's been a while!

real-talk-just-start

So much has happened since I last put thought to paper, well, keyboard now. Truthfully, I've been thinking about blogging again for months, but I just got in my own way. I kept putting it off, using every reason you could imagine. When it all boils down, the reasons are simply, excuses. So, tonight I decided to 'Just start. Then, keep going'.

Well, it's basically the end of August, next week is September, hello Christmas!

Seriously, where on earth has this year gone!? I've somehow already spent a year in Canberra and can honestly say, I am in love with this city! It's everything that a big city and a small city has to offer but it is neither. The creative community here is by far the biggest and best I have ever lived in. Every week I stumbled across a new event, a new talent, a new cafe and a new place to explore. I'm trying to experience as much as possible while I am here and the list just keeps growing but If you have any #canberra suggestions, leave me a comment!

So what have I been up to? Well, yesterday I photographed a surprise wedding at Pialligo Estate. The bride and groom (Nathan and Mycaila) had their parents believing they were going to lunch to celebrate their engagement but soon after arriving the surprise was revealed. The emotions and love felt was overwhelming and I am truly thankful for being trusted to capture such a special moment. Below are a few photos from the day, I can't wait to go through all of the photos, there were so many beautiful moments. There will definitely be a blog coming once I've delivered the photos to N&M!

Location: Pialligo Estate | Flowers: Moxom and Whitney | Celebrant: Michelle Bailey

I've got so much planned for the next few months, collaborations, weddings and a visit from my American twin - Jessica Christie! After years of a beautiful online friendship, we are finally going to meet IN REAL LIFE! There will be plenty of talking, exploring and of course photos to come!

In starting this blog again, my goal is to share as much as possible, both personally and professionally. I hope to grow this online community to something we can all take part in so, I'd so love it if you could leave a comment, leave some love, let me know what you want to see and anything you think I should add to my Canberra (and surrounds) list!

Until next time,

Jess x
